Make room for care.
When people have to travel to Vancouver for treatment, finding a place to stay can become its own crisis. Hotel of Hope is working to change that by creating affordable, welcoming accommodation close to the care people need.

The problem
A medical appointment should not depend on finding a room.
For people travelling from rural and remote communities, treatment can mean days, weeks, or months away from home. Hotel costs add up quickly. Suitable rooms can be hard to find. Families are left trying to solve a housing problem at the same time as a health crisis.
“At one point I told a social worker to give the new heart to someone else because I could not afford the stay in Vancouver.”
The solution · Lease-to-Heal
We can make a place for people to stay.
Hotel of Hope is developing a patient housing model built around a simple idea: secure rooms near Vancouver hospitals and make them available to people who must travel for care.
The first phase, Lease-to-Heal, is exploring two practical routes. Our goal is to open the first phase in 2028.

Partnership
This takes more than a building.
A room matters. So does a clear path to finding it, support during a difficult stay, and a model that can serve more people over time. We are looking for hotel and property partners, donors, health organizations, and public leaders who believe that access to care should include a place to stay.
